Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Online Returns (UK & EU Customers)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your online order within 14 days of receiving your item, for any reason.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us in writing within 14 days of delivery.

Once cancelled, you then have a further 14 days to return the item to us.

Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

• Unworn and unused

• In perfect, resalable condition

• Returned in their original packaging, including any boxes, certificates and documentation

We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the item shows signs of wear, alteration or damage.

Exclusions

The following items are non-returnable, unless faulty:

• Bespoke or commissioned pieces

• Customised, resized or remodelled jewellery

• Items made to order or personalised in any way

These exclusions are permitted under UK consumer law.

Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will issue a refund for the price paid for the item, excluding original delivery charges.

Refunds are processed within 48 hours of receipt.
Please allow 4–7 working days for funds to clear, depending on your payment provider.

Faulty or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged or not as ordered, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

Where a fault is confirmed, we will offer a repair, replacement or full refund, in accordance with your statutory rights.

Returned items remain your responsibility until they reach us.
We strongly recommend using a fully insured, tracked delivery service with signature required.

Inspection on Delivery

We advise that parcels are opened promptly upon delivery to ensure contents are correct and undamaged. Delays in reporting issues may affect our ability to assist or make claims with couriers.

Repairs & Resizing

Our repairs and resizing service is offered subject to the following terms:

• We may decline work if it is more complex than initially assessed

• Revised quotations may be issued where required

• Work will only commence once approval is received

• Materials used will preserve the integrity of the original piece

• All repairs are guaranteed for 6 months, unless otherwise stated

• Fine chain repairs are excluded from guarantee

• Any waste materials remain the property of Bijou Jewellers

Should unforeseen delays occur, we will notify you and provide an updated timescale.

Disputes

In the event of a dispute, Bijou Jewellers reserves the right to refer the matter to an independent arbitration service.
